I am a firm believer that any food can be part of a healthy balanced diet when paired appropriately.  For example, French Toast works lovely topped with fresh berries and sliced almonds, sweet potato fries blend perfectly with Barbecue Chicken on a Whole Grain Bun and that to-die-for Cherry Chocolate ice cream is the perfect ending to your Baked Vegetable Penne.

That is why I have added the BALANCE IT OUT section at the end of some recipes with tips on how you can incorporate the recipe into your healthy balanced diet.
