I have been working on creating a chocolate recipe with no added sugar and only using the sweetness from natural fruit. After many failed attempts I finally came up with a delicious chocolate pudding recipe. I hope you enjoy this guilt-free tasty treat!
- 4 dried figs
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 avocado, peeled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or rice milk
Cut the figs in halve and soak in 3/4 cup water overnight or for about 8 hours. (Note the natural sweetness of the figs will leak out into the water, making the water a thick honey like consistency.) Blend together water and figs, cocoa, avocado, vanilla extract and milk in a food processor or blender until smooth and creamy texture.
